This position supports Aviation and Missile Center UAS/C-UAS Proof of Concept (PoC) in Huntsville, Alabama. The role is expected to be onsite with Government customers, with some travel required.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the overall Project Lead for UAS/C-UAS Proof of Concept activities.
- Develop and execute integrated program plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Develop comprehensive PoC execution plans.
- Coordinate demonstration objectives with government stakeholders.
- Define success criteria, evaluation metrics, and operational scenarios.
- Oversee logistics, test planning, range coordination, and safety planning.
- Lead daily execution of technical, operational, and business activities.
- Manage program risks, assumptions, issues, and mitigation plans.
- Ensure successful execution within cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
- Serve as primary interface with Government Program Managers, Technical Leads, and operational users.
- Lead program status meetings.
- Prepare executive briefings and decision support materials.
- Present technical progress and recommendations to senior government leadership.
- Coordinate engineering activities across hardware, software, networking, cybersecurity, and systems integration teams.
- Facilitate technical interchange meetings and design reviews.
- Lead a team of technical experts operating the PoC.
- Produce status reports, Executive dashboards, Integrated Schedules, Demonstration summaries, and final PoC assessment reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Military Science, or related field.
- 12+ years of DoD program management, systems engineering, or technical integration experience.
- Experience leading complex DoD technology demonstration or prototype efforts.
- Experience with UAS, Counter-UAS, autonomy, robotics, ISR, or related defense technologies.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional technical teams.
- Strong understanding of DoD acquisition and rapid prototyping processes.
- Experience coordinating multiple contractors and government organizations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel to government facilities and test ranges.
- Must have an active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and hold an active Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline.
- PMP certification or equivalent DoD Certification.
- Experience supporting US Army acquisition programs.
