Duties & Responsibilities
- Contract modification reviews and impact analysis
- Aid in project setup and maintenance alongside the internal project accounting team
- Maintain and monitor the workforce and labor categories in Deltek Costpoint
- Accurately review and approve invoices to the government customer
- Manage internal tracking documents related to government funding and budgets
- Perform internal unbilled analysis and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) analysis
- Build and maintain Estimate at Completion (EAC) analysis for individual programs
- Accurately forecast all cost elements with input from program management team in FocusPoint for monthly and annual budget planning
- Generate internal and ad hoc reports
- Validate costs that have been posted for accuracy and handle corrections as needed
- Support subcontract management and the subcontract administrator
- Afford assistance in any required pricing activity for contract changes
- Display financial data and analysis in a clear and presentable manner
- Analyze and communicate any variances during the month end close process while comparing actuals to forecast/budget
- Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Serve as a business partner and adviser to leadership on all program financial matters
- Contribute to the success of the Defense and Intel operating group and ASRC Federal
- Coordinate with Program Managers and Project Managers to establish program baselines, milestones, critical paths, and resource requirements
- Support program planning activities including proposal development, contract modifications, and production planning
- Support Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and schedule performance measurement activities when required
- Develop program budgets and financial forecasts; track expenditures and ensure adherence to approved budgets
- Analyze cost performance, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to maintain program profitability and financial objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting/finance or a related discipline
- 5+ years of Program Control Analyst experience
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with internal and external teams in a hybrid environment
- Experience tracking financial data and presenting analysis
- Advanced Excel skill set, proficient Microsoft Office skill set
- Possess a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, the ability to adapt to changing environments, and the desire to be part of a team that can assist others when needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in the field of Government Contracting
- Prior experience in Program Finance and Financial Planning and Analysis departments
- Prior experience reconciling financial statements
- Prior experience using Deltek Costpoint and IBM Planning Analytics (FocusPoint)
