Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Sequences production schedules to ensure on-time delivery metric achieved for customer orders and optimized production.
- Manages work order releases with respect to material requirements planning.
- Works with production and other departments to establish weekly production targets.
- Utilizes capacity and demand data to create recovery dates for late orders and lead times.
- Identifies upcoming capacity bottlenecks and implements solutions.
- Presents data and issues clearly to all levels of the organization.
- Efficiently communicates with Inside Sales on prioritization, delays, and lead times.
- Interfaces with manufacturing personnel, purchasing personnel, etc. on material status and production planning issues.
- Understands and observes all safety guidelines and assures quality and safety by complying with all appropriate CBI policies and procedures.
- Leads and assists in special projects.
- Recommends and utilizes tool improvement in the planning area.
- Reports immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor.

- Affords assistance in maintaining clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas.
- Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter, and be detail oriented.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.
- Strong analytical skills in both reading and creating data.
- Understand purchasing, MRP continuous improvement methodology, inventory control and lot control.
- Works independently with minimal supervision and be a self-starter.
- Strong cross functional ability and understanding of other production areas.
- Ability to lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Advanced planning knowledge such as SQL, APICS certifications, PowerBI, or advanced Excel.
- To write and read English.
Education And/Or Experience
- Bachelor’s in science in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or other related field preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and working with an MRP/ERP system preferred.
- Prefers 10+ Years of experience in planning.
