Senior Production Engineer

Lightspark is creating the Money Grid—modern, open financial infrastructure that makes payments accessible, affordable, and instant for businesses and users worldwide. As a Production Engineer, you’ll build and integrate new experiences for Lightspark’s customers, and optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of Lightspark infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, scale, secure, and maintain production services
- Write or improve code frameworks (e.g., monitoring, logging, database access, authentication)
- Build and optimize core infrastructure to support new features and functionality
- Join the on-call rotation, support Software Engineers, and debug the hardest problems
- Work in a highly collaborative environment with a desire to learn and grow
Requirements
- 5+ years of Production / Site Reliability / DevOps Engineering experience
- Experience writing high-quality and well-tested code
- Experience communicating and collaborating across technical and cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code solutions (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform)
- Experience programming in high-level languages such as Python is preferred
- Openness to relocate to Los Angeles, California, or ability to travel to the LA office on a monthly basis while working remotely
CS degree or equivalent is ideal but not required. We appreciate and acknowledge that some of the best talent comes from non-traditional backgrounds.
Pay
Compensation Range: $200K - $238K
