About the role
The Senior Production Analyst supports mortgage banking and structured finance professionals in the origination and execution of commercial real estate debt transactions, with a primary focus on multifamily properties. The role involves underwriting, financial modeling, lender engagement, marketing, and transaction execution for loans typically ranging from $20MM to $200MM across agency, life company, bank, and alternative lending platforms.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain sophisticated financial models for multifamily assets, including scenario, sensitivity, and refinancing analyses
- Underwrite properties using historical operating statements, rent rolls, and budgets
- Analyze market conditions, capital markets, and lender requirements to inform loan sizing, pricing, and execution strategy
- Evaluate debt structures, including fixed and floating rate loans, prepayment penalties, yield maintenance, defeasance, interest-only periods, reserves, and exit scenarios
- Provide actionable recommendations to borrowers and senior originators regarding optimal capital structures and value-preservation or enhancement strategies
- Research and interpret local and state tax regulations, reassessment triggers, and valuation methodologies impacting underwriting
- Support senior originators in sourcing, structuring, and executing multifamily debt financings
- Coordinate lender outreach and manage communications with agency, bank, life company, and debt fund counterparts
- Track lender feedback, pricing, and term sheets to support optimal execution
- Aid in the preparation of lender-facing financing packages, credit narratives, and internal memoranda
- Lead the creation of debt marketing materials, including financing packages, pitch materials, lender presentations, and borrower-facing analyses
- Ensure consistent branding and high-quality presentation across print, digital, email, and web-based marketing materials
- Coordinate with designers, copywriters, photographers, and other vendors to deliver best-in-class presentations and marketing materials
- Track marketing effectiveness and refine materials based on lender and client feedback
- Manage transactions from signed engagement or term sheet through loan closing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness
- Coordinate appraisals, inspections, third-party reports, borrower diligence, lender requirements, and closing timelines
- Review and interpret complex real estate documents, including leases, loan agreements, and closing documentation
- Aid in the preparation and submission of contracts, disclosures, and transaction documentation in compliance with brokerage, state, and local regulations
- Proactively identify and resolve issues to keep transactions on track and clients informed
- Serve as the central communication and workflow hub between originators, analysts, marketing staff, lenders, and external parties
- Oversee CRM systems, databases, deal pipelines, marketing outreach, and transaction records
- Ensure quality control, consistency, and accuracy across all underwriting, marketing, and client deliverables
- Design, implement, and continuously improve workflows, checklists, and operating procedures to support platform growth and scalability
- Manage task prioritization, project flow, and delivery timelines across multiple concurrent assignments
- Support leadership with operational strategy, execution, and day-to-day management initiatives
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior team members, offering proactive insights, recommendations, and solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related field
- 2–5+ years of experience in commercial real estate finance, mortgage banking, lending, investment sales, or principal-side roles with meaningful debt exposure
- Strong understanding of multifamily valuation, capital markets, debt structures, and cash-flow analysis (NOI, DSCR, LTV, debt yield)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft 365
- Exceptional organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong analytical rigor with high standards for data accuracy, quality control, and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly professional, proactive, discreet, tech-savvy, and capable of working independently within a team-oriented environment
- Willingness to obtain real estate licensure or mortgage banking credentials as required by state law
