About the role
Work you'll do
As a Senior Product Specialist on the GPS FinOps (Financial Operations) team, you will be responsible for:
- Translating finance strategy and business requirements into system enhancements and communicating requirements to technology teams for development
- Managing the finance systems portfolio, including backlog prioritization, program increment execution, governance tracking, risk escalation, and PMO oversight
- Leading user acceptance testing, release readiness, hypercare activities, and defect resolution for finance system enhancements and deployments
- Monitoring system operations, data integrity, and alignment between finance systems and the general ledger across manual and automated processes
- Evaluating system integrations, identifying process improvements, assessing design alternatives, and leading analysts in the US and India supporting finance-led systems
Responsibilities
The team GPS FinOps (Financial Operations) within Government Solutions & Innovation (GSi) serves as US finance application portfolio subject matter experts, to implement and manage innovative solutions and changes through governance and change management to meet the technology needs of finance and the US firm.
Requirements
- Required: 5+ years of experience in finance systems, financial operations, product management, portfolio management, or business systems support
- Required: 3+ years of project management experience managing cross-functional or cross-departmental teams on complex projects
- Required: 3+ years of hand on DelTek experience
- Required: 3+ years of experience with finance systems and processes, including SAP Primed, CP3 Pricing, Beacon, or other finance applications
- Required: 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or another business or technical field
- Required: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Qualifications
- Preferred: Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or another business or technical field
- Preferred: Experience working in a professional services environment
- Preferred: Experience managing finance system enhancements, deployments, or upgrades
- Preferred: Experience coordinating user acceptance testing, change management activities, or post-production support
- Preferred: Experience working with business, finance, and technology stakeholders in a matrixed organization
- Preferred: Experience supporting issue escalation, governance routines, or portfolio reporting for system initiatives
