About the job

As a Senior Product Sourcing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in selecting suppliers for specific products, collaborating with strategic suppliers to expedite product development, and managing the entire product lifecycle from concept to production. Your responsibilities include:

• Conducting supplier selection based on our approved supplier list
• Partnering with strategic suppliers to scope concepts, develop features, and perform cost analyses
• Collaborating on joint design development and simulation of mechanical and electronic designs
• Developing and consolidating a manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOM), ensuring quality and flexibility during production
• Optimizing supply networks and managing capital expenditure (CAPEX) during New Product Introduction (NPI)
• Completing BOM risk assessments and managing component qualification processes
• Leading cost engineering activities to align bottom-up costs with product costs, optimizing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
• Addressing cost-related issues such as tariffs and inflation

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field
• 8+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement, and development, or design of electronics/mechanical devices
• Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) at the component/product level
• Ability to travel 10%-40% of the time, depending on program needs
• U.S. Citizenship due to access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree or advanced technical degree in mechanical engineering
• Experience in design and development of electronics and/or mechanical devices
• Advanced sourcing activities, including roles as commodity/sourcing managers
• Supplier development, including technology, process, and supply chain expertise
• Familiarity with high-mix, low-volume product environments
• Experience in a fast-paced, startup environment

Pay

The US Salary Range for this role is $126,000 - $167,000 USD. The salary range is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to work experience, education, and business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers.
