About the Opportunity

The SENIOR PRODUCT OWNER is responsible for driving tactical delivery across the Billing and Data platform teams. This role involves detailed ownership of feature development, ensuring alignment with product strategy, and managing complex technical domains simultaneously. The position impacts the organization by leading agile execution, coordinating cross-team dependencies, and maintaining platform knowledge to influence architectural and delivery decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery for Billing and Data teams by managing backlogs and agile ceremonies.
• Write detailed feature epics and user stories with precise acceptance criteria.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including executing SQL queries against BigQuery.
• Coordinate release planning and manage rollout communications.
• Collaborate with peer Product Owners on cross-team dependencies.
• Partner with Product Managers to align execution with strategy.
• Work with Engineering Managers on resource capacity and technical guidance.
• Support cross-functional coordination with the Program Manager.
• Define and validate Minimum Viable Products (MVPs).
• Provide product training and enablement for internal stakeholders.
• Maintain transparency through communication with stakeholders and executives.
• Develop deep knowledge of the organization’s five billing platforms.
• Serve as primary contact for billing-related feature questions.
• Ensure billing operations comply with finance and operational requirements.
• Translate complex billing requirements into executable user stories.
• Identify platform risks, technical debt, and consolidation opportunities.
• Develop expertise in data ingestion pipelines and transformation layers.
• Serve as primary contact for data platform questions and requirements.
• Author and execute SQL queries to validate data pipeline accuracy.
• Collaborate with data engineering to prioritize data models and dashboards.
• Advocate for data governance, lineage, and privacy-compliant practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years as a Product Owner or Technical Product Manager with platform or data focus.
• Proven subject matter expertise in owned products and features.
• Strong understanding of cloud-based data platforms and tools such as BigQuery, dbt, Airflow.
• Ability to write and execute SQL queries for UAT validation.
• Skilled in Agile frameworks and tools like Jira, Confluence, and Figma.
• Experience managing User Acceptance Testing processes.
• Effective communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating software releases, QA, and documentation.
• Ability to translate end-user insights into product enhancements.
