Senior Product Owner

About the role

A Senior Product Owner is pivotal in steering product development teams, translating business strategies into actionable tasks, and ensuring that product goals align with user needs and company objectives. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain a clear vision of the product's direction and prioritize the product backlog.

Responsibilities

• Based on overall strategy and business objectives, ensure clear communication of requirements to the development team.
• Lead sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings to ensure alignment with the product roadmap and continuous improvement.
• Gather and refine requirements from stakeholders across the organization to ensure the product meets customer needs and market demands.
• Act as a liaison between the development team and stakeholders to ensure features are delivered according to specifications.
• Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to inform product direction and ensure competitive positioning.
• Develop and maintain the product roadmap, articulating the vision, direction, and progress to stakeholders and the development team.
• Implement strategies to identify potential product issues, mitigate risks, and ensure the product’s success in the market.
• Advocate for the adoption of new technologies or processes within the product development lifecycle to improve efficiency and outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related fields.
• Preferred certifications include ITIL, PO, CSPO, PM, PMI, PMP, CSM, CFA, ISTQB, QA.
• Proficiency in agile methodologies, product management tools, and business intelligence tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Extensive experience in product management, agile software development, and leading cross-functional teams.
