Senior Product Manager, Symmetry New Tax Products
About the role
We are seeking a product leader to own the development of new business lines for payroll tax products. This role will have broad autonomy to lead discovery, strategy, and execution for new products in payroll tax. The ideal candidate will deliver durable business outcomes such as new revenue and existing revenue retention.
Responsibilities
- Lead long-term strategy, including research, customer and market positioning, product direction, and investment identification.
- Focus the organization on what matters most, identifying high-leverage investments and decisions across functions.
- Partner across Product, Engineering, Compliance, Legal, CX, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to uncover insights, validate assumptions, and build alignment.
- Accelerate execution by clarifying requirements, kicking off strategic initiatives, and embedding with teams to drive execution.
Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on product management experience, with 3+ years of success building 0 to 1 products.
- Proven track record of building 0 to 1 products with demonstrable evidence of deep product discovery skills and building personalized products or optimized workflows using Gen AI/ML.
- Extraordinary cross-functional collaborator and leader with the ability to identify emerging opportunities and industry trends, build business cases, define product vision and strategy, and create a supporting roadmap.
- Built products at scale with good UX that users love.

Benefits
Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $143,000/yr to $179,000/yr in Scottsdale & most remote locations, and $184,000/yr to $230,000/yr for San Francisco & New York. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $143,000 to $230,000 annually, with a midpoint of $179,000. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
Schedule
Employees who are based in Gusto's physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, or New York City will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role).
