Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager for Gigawatt’s Revenue team, the group building an AI-native meter-to-cash platform that turns the utility CIS from a system of record into a system of intelligence. Your mandate is to rethink the meter usage ingest process end to end, from meter to cash.
About the Role
Your mandate is to rethink the meter usage ingest process end to end, from meter to cash. That means owning how meter data is captured, validated, and turned into accurate billing determinants, and then enabling the platform to use that data more intelligently to power rates, programs, marketing, data science, and beyond, so utilities can better serve their customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Own Meter: Drive the roadmap for meter data management end to end, from head-end ingest to billing determinants.
- Ship Product: Define high-value MVPs, validate correctness against real reads, and iterate fast on edge cases and exceptions.
- Engage SMEs: Translate metering, MDM, and billing expertise into clear specs, enriched with AI-generated documentation and prototypes.
- Execute: Drive with engineering and design to release production-ready features on compressed timelines. Drive the product lifecycle by defining use cases and technical requirements, collaborating on data model design, and conducting product testing to ensure key requirements are met.
- Own outcomes: Set KPIs (determinant accuracy, throughput, reconciliation rate, exceptions) and manage dependencies across the Revenue platform.
- Wear many hats: Do whatever it takes to move the platform forward, and take on new areas of ownership as priorities evolve.
Qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years in product management, with a proven track record of working directly with utilities to gather requirements and building metering, billing, or complex, data-intensive platforms in the energy sector.
- MDM & metering: Strong knowledge of how MDM systems work ingest, interval/scalar data, data quality, VEE and how they feed a billing flow.
- Data fluency: Comfort reasoning about pipelines, reconciliation, and data-quality checks; SQL a plus.
- AI: Experience applying AI to data validation, documentation, or workflow automation.
- Collaboration: Able to bridge SMEs and engineering; strong communication and structured problem-solving.
- Startup mindset: You thrive in early-stage ambiguity, move fast, and are comfortable with a role that grows and changes as the company scales.
Tools
- Experience with Jira, Figma, and standard product management tools.
Location
Remote (ideally Bay Area. Chicago, Austin, or Nashville).

- Competitive salary and equity.
