Senior Product Manager – Fulfillment Value-Added Services (VAS)
About the role
ShipMonk is seeking a Senior Product Manager – Fulfillment Value-Added Services (VAS) to lead the development of specialized fulfillment solutions. This role involves translating complex, multi-step projects into seamless, system-driven transactions, ensuring that custom requests are efficiently handled and scaled.
Desired Experience
- Educational background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Product management experience: 5+ years, preferably in logistics, manufacturing, or e-commerce tech.
- Operational expertise: 2+ years of experience with WMS, kitting logic, or BOM management.
Skills & Responsibilities
- Customer Research: Conduct interviews and engage with ShipMonk clients to understand inventory challenges and opportunities.
- VAS Roadmap Ownership: Lead the product lifecycle for specialized fulfillment, turning "Special Projects" into standard, scalable offerings.
- Implementation & Adoption: Collaborate with Go-to-Market teams to drive product launch, adoption, and customer onboarding.
- Workflow Architecture: Design "Cart-to-Floor" flows to ensure seamless translation of customer requests into digital tasks.
- Complexity Breakdown: Deconstruct complex kitting projects into system-driven, step-by-step digital transactions to minimize errors and maximize efficiency.
- Personalization Tech Integration: Integrate engraving, embroidery, and custom labeling technologies into the fulfillment stack.
- Operational Engineering: Optimize "Special Project" stations to match digital workflows and improve throughput.
- Scalability & Automation: Transition manual projects to automated processes that can scale globally.
- Merchant Enablement: Develop intuitive interfaces for merchants to configure their own "Value-Added" rules.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Use operational KPIs to identify and resolve bottlenecks in the kitting process.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Facilitate communication between Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams.
