Senior Product Manager, Community Building
About the Role
Acorns is building a new Community product team from scratch—a small, senior group with a single mandate: Get people addicted to saving by unlocking network effects inside Acorns. This team understands how to create engagement loops, virality, and habit formation. As the Senior Product Manager, you’ll own the product strategy and roadmap for Acorns’ Community surface, identifying, prioritizing, and shipping engagement and growth mechanics that drive organic acquisition at scale.
You’ll report directly to the CEO and collaborate with a Senior Product Designer and Senior engineering team to design engagement loops, social sharing mechanics, and habit-forming experiences. This role offers end-to-end ownership, from early concept to shipped product, impacting millions of users often investing for the first time.

- Communicate clearly with partnering teams and act as the connective tissue between the Community team and the broader Acorns organization.
Qualifications
- Owned growth or engagement products at a social, gaming, or high-growth consumer company, with demonstrable impact on DAU, retention, or viral coefficients.
- Hands-on experience with k-factor, referral loops, engagement mechanics, or social graph features.
- Run A/B experiments end-to-end: hypothesis definition, test instrumentation, results analysis, and decision-making.
- Written SQL to pull your own data without relying on analysts.
- Shipped a product or feature from ambiguous brief to market on a small team with limited resources.
- Successfully pitched non-obvious bets to leadership and been proven right.
