Senior Product Manager
About the Company
Retell AI is reimagining the call center with cutting-edge voice AI, using first principles to build intelligent AI “workers” that act as frontline agents, QA analysts, and managers. These AI agents continuously execute, monitor, and improve customer interactions, moving beyond basic automation that requires constant human tuning. Thousands of companies now use Retell’s AI voice agents for sales, support, and logistics calls, replacing large teams of human agents. Backed by Y Combinator, Alt Capital, and other leading investors, Retell has scaled to $60M ARR with a team of 40, up from $5M at the start of 2025. The company is a top 50 AI app on a16z’s list, #4 on Brex's Fast-Growing Software Vendors of 2025, and ranks highly on the Leana AI Leaderboard and Wing VC’s Enterprise Tech 30.
About the Role
As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll take end-to-end ownership of core product areas powering millions of AI-driven conversations. You’ll collaborate with engineering, design, and customers to define the roadmap, drive execution, and ship products that are fast, reliable, intuitive, and set the industry standard. This highly technical role spans real-time audio, telephony workflows, agent behavior, and developer tools, directly impacting how thousands of businesses deliver customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Own customer outcomes for core product areas such as voice agent behavior, onboarding, testing, and AI-driven automation.
- Define strategy, roadmap, and success metrics based on real customer pain, adoption, and business impact.
- Develop deep customer understanding by engaging with users, reviewing call transcripts, joining onboarding and support sessions, and uncovering unmet needs and failure points.
- Author clear, outcome-driven PRDs that define the customer problem, requirements, end-to-end user journey, and proposed solution concepts to align engineering, design, and stakeholders.
- Incorporate competitive and market insights into product strategy and prioritization to ensure differentiation and informed tradeoffs.
- Partner with engineering to design scalable solutions, evaluating tradeoffs through the lens of customer value, time to impact, and long-term platform health.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, CX, and Customer Success to understand buying signals, objections, rollout blockers, and expansion drivers, reflecting these insights in product priorities.
- Collaborate with design to shape end-to-end user experiences, including early problem framing and low-fidelity sketches to explore solutions.
- Drive cross-functional execution by planning, sequencing, and tracking initiatives to ensure timely delivery and alignment.
- Validate solutions with customers early and often using prototypes, betas, and rapid iterations to ensure the right problems are solved before scaling.
- Establish product rituals that keep the organization customer-focused, including roadmap planning grounded in evidence and prioritization frameworks tied to impact.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally building B2B or product-led growth (PLG) products.
- Comfortable in high-velocity startup environments, energized by ambiguity, fast iteration, and ownership.
- Customer-obsessed—regularly talk to users, review real usage (e.g., calls, sessions, workflows), and turn feedback into action.
- Strong cross-functional collaborator, working closely with engineering, design, sales, and other partners to drive outcomes.
- Founder-level ownership and bias toward action, taking end-to-end responsibility with urgency and accountability.
- Highly organized and execution-oriented, able to create clarity and prioritize effectively in evolving spaces.
- Experience with AI products is a plus; voice AI experience is a strong advantage. Curious, adaptable, and eager to go deep technically.
