Senior Product Manager
About the Company
Nirvana is on a mission to modernize commercial insurance and enable a safer world. Our AI-driven technology platform delivers modern insurance and risk management to help customers protect their businesses and improve the safety of their operations. We serve thousands of fleets, have more than doubled our written premiums year over year, and possess a growing data moat of over 30 billion miles of telematics data. This data fuels predictive models and new risk insights. With $270+ million raised, including a Series D round in December 2025, we are accelerating growth with support from top-tier VCs like Lightspeed, General Catalyst, and Valor. Our leadership team has scaled multi-billion-dollar companies such as Samsara, Rubrik, and Flexport, and includes industry veterans from Hiscox, The Hartford, and RLI.
About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the core platforms and data foundation powering our business, spanning pricing, risk, and the AI systems across the full insurance policy lifecycle. Our distributed team operates across the US and India, with offices in San Francisco, CA, and Columbus, OH. We welcome candidates from any location.
Responsibilities
- Own both the roadmap and execution: determine what gets built, in what order, and ensure it ships.
- Engage with customers, brokers, and underwriters to identify needs and prioritize high-impact problems.
- Set direction for Engineering, Data Science, Actuaries, and GTM teams to align the entire chain from data input to underwriting decisions.
- Shape the long-term vision, starting with pricing and expanding across the product suite.
Qualifications
- 4-7 years of experience in Product Management or equivalent roles, ideally shipping 0-1 products.
- Strong quantitative skills: comfortable with data, able to identify anomalies, and investigate root causes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; can simplify complex decisions for customers and internal teams like underwriting.
- Credibility with technical partners: earn trust in data science and engineering by understanding their work and making sound technical decisions.
- Ability to drive cross-functional teams to deliver products/features on aggressive timelines.
- Bias-to-action: willing to roll up your sleeves and do what’s necessary.
- Owner mentality: take end-to-end accountability, especially where data, models, and systems intersect.
- Experience thriving in high-growth, dynamic startup environments.
- Undergraduate degree in a technical discipline (e.g., computer science, engineering) preferred. MS, PhD, or MBA is a plus.
Preferred Experience
- Building products where pricing or risk models directly drive revenue, such as in insurance, lending, or marketplaces.
- B2B or fintech background.
Benefits
- Competitive salary and equity.
- 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- 401k with up to 4% company match.
- Unlimited PTO.
- Parental leave.
- Wellness reimbursement.
Pay
