Senior Product Engineer

Sentry Equipment is a 100% employee-owned company located in Oconomowoc, WI. We are seeking a Senior Product Engineer (Mechanical) to join our dynamic team. As a leader in the industry, we value innovation, reliability, and excellence in all aspects of our work.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of key product lines from concept to customer integration.
- Develop custom engineer-to-order solutions based on customer needs and existing product platforms.
- Drive innovation in product design with a focus on cost, manufacturability, and performance.
- Analyze and improve existing products for reliability, efficiency, and quality.
- Lead cross-functional engineering projects and guide less experienced engineers and technicians.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, ATEX, TEMA, CRN, etc.).
- Review and approve engineering changes and design releases.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and other teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Lead initiatives to improve engineering tools, processes, and overall efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or Electrical preferred)
- 7+ years of engineering experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong background in: Machine design and manufacturing processes, Materials and component selection, Fluid dynamics and/or thermodynamics, Reading and interpreting technical drawings and P&IDs
- Experience leading projects and driving results across cross-functional teams
- Highly Preferred: Process piping design experience, Professional Engineer (PE) license, Experience in nuclear energy or highly regulated industries, Experience with ASME pressure vessel design or related codes, Proficiency with SolidWorks, ERP systems, and engineering tools
