Senior Product Engineer

About the role

Jabil is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to work in the Richardson, TX site. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the development and assembly of products, collaborating with various departments and customers.

Responsibilities

• Review customer Bill of Materials and implement Engineering Change Orders
• Oversee assembly methods, material selection, and process development for current and next-generation technologies
• Interface with all functions including Quality, Reliability, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Manufacturing, and Operations
• Support on-call and on-site production as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, or a related field
• A minimum of 8 years of proven experience in Product Engineering
• Proven track record of successfully bringing products from concept to high-volume production

Qualifications

• Microsoft Office Suite experience, including PowerPoint
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Experience with assemblies, including surface mount technology (SMT), component under fill, staking, and solvent cleaning processes
• Experience with SAP, MES, statistical data handling and analysis, and problem-solving methodologies
• Proficiency in documentation & analysis of engineering drawings, understanding of CAD Software, and presenting analysis results
• Knowledge of advanced adhesives, solders, plating schemes, environmentally protective coatings, and other materials used in the assembly of PCBA’s etc.

Skills

• Experience with assemblies, including surface mount technology (SMT), component under fill, staking, and solvent cleaning processes
• Experience with SAP, MES, statistical data handling and analysis, experience with root cause/corrective action and problem-solving methodologies
• Proficiency in documentation & analysis of engineering drawings, understanding of CAD Software, and presenting analysis results
• Knowledge of advanced adhesives, solders, plating schemes, environmentally protective coatings, and other materials used in the assembly of PCBA’s etc.
