Senior Product Developer, Footwear Local Creation North America

Who You Will Work With

As a member of the Footwear Development team, you will work with key multi-functional team partners like Product Design, Product Management, Manufacturing, and Operations. You will also be the key partner to our teams in Asia, including our factory partners, to ensure we create products that exceed consumer expectations. You will work within the Nike matrix to meet Footwear Development standard methodologies for product excellence. Additionally, you will serve as a key point of contact for our manufacturing partners, ensuring clear and accurate communication during the product development process.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a Senior Product Developer who will work with cross-functional partners to create and drive our product process. You will be an integral part of our Footwear Product Team to help drive product excellence. Responsibilities include converting a project brief and a 2D design rendering into a 3D sample that meets consumer needs. The ideal candidate is curious, team-focused, passionate about learning, solution-oriented, and demonstrates a positive demeanor.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Design, Engineering, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
• 3+ years of Footwear Product Creation experience.
• Proven verbal and written communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives.
• Strong team-first mentality that instills trust to deliver product excellence.
• Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Experience in project management.
• Creative problem-solving skills from concepts to application.
• Knowledge of product construction concepts, materials, and the product creation life cycle.
• Base-level understanding of Consumer Product or Hardgoods.
• Ability to read technical drawings, sketches, and/or 3D digital files is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize multiple work streams with competing priorities to deliver on tight timelines.
• Knowledge of footwear pattern engineering, cost engineering, tooling, or manufacturing processes is a plus.

What You’ll Work On

• Lead, guide, and follow through on decisions to ensure timely product confirmation and sample delivery.
• Execute product creation according to critical dates and performance/profitability goals.
• Work with multi-functional teammates to ensure manufacturability of product concepts.
• Develop and utilize footwear knowledge to drive results and achieve project designs.
• Apply fundamental understanding of multiple sports and standard methodologies to assure product quality and craftsmanship.
• Engage in all phases of the product process to ensure projects are completed on time, can be commercialized, manufactured, and meet design intent, performance, costing, and sustainability goals.
