Senior Product Designer
About the Product Design Team
The Product Design Team at Notable is a small, high-performing group that reports directly to the Head of Product Design, who in turn reports to the Chief Product Officer. We are embedded in cross-functional pods, working closely with Product and Engineering partners to design for internal and external users who build healthcare workflows, operators who run them, and patients and staff who experience them.
Role Summary
This role involves owning product design across multiple workstreams within a cross-functional pod. The responsibilities include breaking down problems and articulating reasoning as you drive from rough concepts to shipped products. You will design for various stakeholders including those who build healthcare workflows, operators who manage them, and patients and staff who interact with them. You will also partner with product and engineering to plan, sequence, validate, and iterate on designs, communicate design decisions, and contribute to evolving our shared design systems, tools, and processes.
What You'll Do
- Break down problems and articulate your reasoning as you drive from rough concepts to shipped products.
- Design how a workflow builder configures an AI-powered automation, how an operator triages failures across hundreds of running workflows, and how the patient on the other end experiences the outreach.
- Figure out how a change to one surface propagates through the others.
- Communicate design decisions and tradeoffs to cross-functional partners.
- Contribute to and evolve our shared design systems, tools, and processes.
- Explore new ways of working that help the team learn faster and ship better.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrable experience making complex systems understandable and usable for the people who rely on them.
- Experience designing for enterprise SaaS and multiple organizational roles and personas with varied needs, roles, and technical/system fluency.
- Experience designing developer tools, platform products, or workflow automation.
- Technical curiosity - engages with component APIs, data models, and system constraints as design inputs.
- Moves forward through ambiguity, using judgment and evidence rather than waiting for complete briefs.
Nice to Have
- Healthcare industry experience.
