Senior Product Designer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our team at MaintainX. As part of Autodesk, we aim to revolutionize the way frontline users interact with complex systems through AI-powered experiences. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design of our web and mobile products, ensuring they are intuitive and user-friendly for maintenance technicians and facility managers.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design for complex product surfaces across web and mobile, from problem framing through high-fidelity delivery.
• Design AI-powered experiences for frontline users like maintenance technicians and facility managers, making workflows simpler and smarter without adding complexity.
• Think in systems: spot patterns, build for reuse, and contribute to our design system with a focus on consistency, scalability, and high craft.
• Present design work with clear rationale, integrate feedback from stakeholders, and champion high quality and accessibility across the product lifecycle.
• Use AI tools in your own design process to accelerate your work and push the quality ceiling of your output.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product design experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise platforms.
• Exceptional visual and interaction design skills with a sharp eye for typography, spacing, color, layout, and motion with strong design system and handoff practices.
• Experience designing for AI and data-rich experiences.
• A systems thinker who naturally spots patterns, builds for reuse, and considers how design decisions scale across a product.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills to articulate design intent, navigate ambiguous product spaces, and influence cross-functional peers.
• An expert level of English, both spoken and written, is required, as the individual will need to lead platform engineering managers across multiple teams, present technical priorities to executive stakeholders, and align with engineering leaders outside Québec on a daily basis.

• Expertise in design systems and handoff practices.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and other designers.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable design solutions.

Skills

• Strong proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, etc.
• Experience with user research methods and usability testing.
• Knowledge of accessibility best practices and standards.
• Experience with AI and machine learning tools and techniques.
