About the role
As a Senior Product Designer at Research & Development, you will be responsible for designing innovative user experiences that enhance product functionality and user satisfaction. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, and sales to ensure that designs align with business goals and user needs.Responsibilities
- Designing and iterating on high-fidelity prototypes and visual concepts for new products and features.
- Collaborating with product managers, engineers, and other designers to understand user needs and translate them into design solutions.
- Creating detailed design documents and style guides to ensure consistency across all touchpoints.
- Staying current with industry trends and technologies to inform design decisions.
- Conducting usability testing and gathering feedback to refine designs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Interaction Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in product design, preferably in a tech or consumer-facing environment.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and understanding the importance of collaboration in the design process.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of projects from ideation to implementation.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and familiarity with prototyping tools like InVision or Marvel.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Passion for using design to solve complex problems and improve user experiences.
- Experience with agile methodologies and iterative design processes.
- Understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to apply them consistently.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
