Senior Product Designer

About the role

As a Senior Product Designer at Research & Development, you will be responsible for designing innovative user experiences that enhance product functionality and user satisfaction. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, and sales to ensure that designs align with business goals and user needs.

Responsibilities

• Designing and iterating on high-fidelity prototypes and visual concepts for new products and features.
• Collaborating with product managers, engineers, and other designers to understand user needs and translate them into design solutions.
• Creating detailed design documents and style guides to ensure consistency across all touchpoints.
• Staying current with industry trends and technologies to inform design decisions.
• Conducting usability testing and gathering feedback to refine designs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Interaction Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in product design, preferably in a tech or consumer-facing environment.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and understanding the importance of collaboration in the design process.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of projects from ideation to implementation.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and familiarity with prototyping tools like InVision or Marvel.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

Pay

The base salary for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a standard 40-hour workweek.
