Senior Product Counsel
Responsibilities
- Advising product, engineering, and business teams on legal and regulatory requirements for AI-powered products, integrations, and platform features throughout the development cycle
- Conducting legal product reviews and maintaining compliance inventories across features, technology, data requirements, and regulatory obligations
- Identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies for new products, markets, and initiatives while ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Drafting customer-facing disclosures, terms of use, disclaimers, and compliance documentation that balance legal requirements with user experience
- Negotiating vendor, partnership, infrastructure, and AI/ML data agreements with internal and external stakeholders across global time zones
Requirements
Minimum Salary Range or On Target Earnings: $146,700.00 - $339,300.00
Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
Qualifications
8+ years of legal experience with admission to a state bar or equivalent practical experience
In-house product counsel experience from a technology company, particularly in SaaS, AI/ML, or communication platforms
Experience with privacy and data protection, artificial intelligence, security, content regulation, intellectual property, and consumer protection legal frameworks
Effective communication across cross-functional teams, building stakeholder consensus, and maintaining relationships at all organizational levels including C-suite
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapt to rapidly changing priorities, and deliver strategic initiatives in ever-changing environments
Ability to issue-spot quickly, prioritize risks appropriately, and take ownership of matters of first impression
Flexibility to work across global time zones, including APAC support
Leverage technology and AI tools to enhance productivity and solve legal problems
