Senior Procurement Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for suppliers during onboarding and ongoing enablement activities.
  • Guide suppliers through P2P requirements, registration, documentation, and readiness steps using clear, simplified communication.
  • Review supplier documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with onboarding and system requirements.
  • Proactively identify supplier roadblocks and resolve issues to prevent delays in transactions or payment.
  • Support supplier understanding of next steps, confirmations, and transactional expectations within the P2P lifecycle.

Internal Centralized Support

  • Provide front‑line P2P support to internal procurement and business users via a centralized ticketing model.
  • Troubleshoot common P2P issues by assessing symptoms, investigating process paths, and identifying appropriate resolutions.
  • Distinguish between process‑related issues and system/technical issues requiring escalation to IT or platform teams.
  • Deliver consistent, professional customer service to internal stakeholders while maintaining service levels and priorities.

Collaboration & Documentation

  • Partner closely with ISC, BUs, and platform support teams to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Document common support scenarios, resolutions, and learnings to reduce repeat issues and improve self‑service.
  • Support adoption of standardized processes tied to system governance and controls.

Job Overview

  • This role conducts negotiations and manages spend for certain contracts.
  • Employees in this role serve as a Point Of Contact (POC) for certain assigned contracts, and execute purchases in alignment with category strategies.
  • The individual works to ensure operational procurement process improvement strategies are achieved while balancing any associated risk with the purchases.
  • This role would also act as a mentor and trainer to less experienced team members.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • 4+ years Experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
