Senior Procurement Category Manager - Batteries

About the role

The Senior Procurement Category Manager will lead the strategic procurement of battery cells and battery packs across multiple sites. This role will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic sourcing and negotiation of contracts for battery cells and battery packs.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to drive innovation and cost savings.
• Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the battery industry.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to procurement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and finance to optimize supply chain performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a focus on batteries.
• Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale procurement initiatives.
• Experience in managing complex global supply chains.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of battery technologies and industry standards.
• Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.
• Understanding of ISO and other relevant quality management systems.
• Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite.
