Senior Procurement and Strategy Manager, Global Supply Chain and Transportation Procurement (GSCTP)

Amazon Global Supply Chain and Transportation Procurement (GSCTP) is seeking a Senior Procurement and Strategy Manager to oversee vendor sourcing and management, focusing on leading negotiations, developing consistent methodologies, and ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders.

This role will deliver improved financial results, delivery performance, capacity, and sustainability efforts. The successful candidate will manage multiple vendors concurrently, contribute to transportation procurement strategy, and support cross-functional network design objectives. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and relationship management skills are essential.

You will lead complex, multi-party negotiations, serve as a strategic advisor to internal stakeholders, and drive AI-enabled procurement workflows as GSCTP builds toward an AI-native organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, multi-party negotiations to deliver improved financial performance; structure multi-year partnerships balancing cost efficiency, service quality, and capacity assurance.
• Conduct market research to develop rate benchmarks and should-cost models; translate market conditions and capacity trends into defensible negotiation targets and data-driven cost positions.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to internal stakeholders and leadership, shaping business requirements and translating them into vendor strategy and negotiation approaches.
• Mentor procurement specialists through knowledge sharing and negotiation coaching.
• Execute and define transportation procurement strategy that complements network design and operations strategy; develop scalable frameworks for vendor evaluation, performance management, and relationship governance.
• Scale and implement AI tools and workflows across GSCTP's procurement operations; champion adoption of AI toolkits to accelerate decision-making and improve negotiation outcomes.
• Experiment with and create new AI tools or workflows to drive efficiency, quality, or speed within procurement operations.
• Drive complex, multi-stakeholder sourcing initiatives to completion; mitigate risks through contract structures and vendor diversification.
• Author strategic sourcing narratives (vendor evaluations, contract summaries, leadership updates) and present recommendations to VPs to build consensus.
• Navigate complex challenges across the full procurement cycle, ensuring contract structures align with technical system constraints for scalable, executable agreements.

About the team

Global team responsible for procurement-related activities, including supporting and leading mid-to-large scale strategic sourcing events and complex contract negotiations with cross-organizational impact. Works closely with internal stakeholders to meet cost, capacity, and service goals.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years of procurement experience.
• 5+ years of experience working cross-functionally across several teams.
• 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze large datasets.
• Proficiency in Business English, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree.
• 5+ years of transportation and supply chain experience.
• Fluency in Spanish (speak, write, and read).
• Experience negotiating complex, multi-year logistics agreements with major carriers or logistics service providers.
• Demonstrated experience developing or scaling AI/automation tools in a procurement or supply chain context.

Pay

Base salary range: $121,200.00 – $163,900.00 USD annually (Austin, TX). Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and comprehensive benefits.
