About the role

STR is seeking a highly motivated candidate with federal procurement experience to join our growing Contracts & Supply Chain team as a Senior Procurement Administrator. In this role, you will:

Responsibilities

  • Oversee strategic procurement operations across defense and government programs
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on complex DoD and Intelligence Community supply chain matters
  • Mentor and develop team members
  • Drive process excellence and continuous improvement in procurement practices
  • Help shape STR’s procurement strategy and deliver measurable results in cost, schedule, and performance
  • Manage the full procurement lifecycle from planning through closeout in accordance with company policies, FAR, and DFARS
  • Work closely with business, technical, and functional stakeholders to support business growth objectives and strong program performance
  • Develop and maintain effective external relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to support program objectives and strengthen STR’s business partnerships
  • Conduct market research, supplier qualification, source selection, and cost/price reasonableness evaluations
  • Utilize purchasing and ERP systems to create and manage purchase orders and ensure compliance
  • Maintain accurate and complete procurement files and documentation in compliance with FAR, DFARS, and company requirements
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools and a strong willingness to learn and apply AI to drive efficiency and improve quality and effectiveness in Contracts and Supply Chain processes
  • Recommend and help implement process improvements to scale and optimize procurement activities and practices
  • Communicate effectively with internal customers, partners, and stakeholders; respond promptly to inquiries regarding order status, changes, and returns

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree + 5 years of Federal procurement, purchasing, or contracting experience (or Master's degree + 3 years)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (for which US Citizenship is required)
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiations and supplier management
  • Experience with FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply federal acquisition policies in context
  • Knowledge of ITAR/EAR export controls and counterfeit parts prevention practices
  • Collaborative, self-motivated, and efficient, with strong business judgment and analytical skills; interest in optimizing procurement and contracting practices while maintaining compliance
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with customers, partners, and colleagues at all levels
  • Willingness to expand expertise across other areas of Supply Chain as well as Contracts

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $93,000.00 - $117,000.00
