Senior Processor - Molding Operator V (Day Shift)
About the role
Perform advanced setup, operation, and monitoring of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
Execute and oversee complex molding processes, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and production standards.
Identify, analyze, and resolve highly complex molding defects and process issues where standard solutions may not exist.
Adapt and modify processing techniques, equipment settings, tooling, and materials to address unique or evolving challenges.
Support the development and implementation of new process solutions for non-routine or emerging production needs.
Perform and assist with process optimization, validation, and troubleshooting for new and existing products.
Monitor process performance and make independent decisions to maintain efficiency, quality, and cycle time targets.
Ensure proper documentation of process adjustments, deviations, and improvements.
Responsibilities
- Act as an informal team lead by coordinating daily activities and workflow for operators and technicians.
- Provide guidance and hands-on support for both routine and non-routine production tasks.
- Train and mentor less experienced employees on advanced molding techniques, troubleshooting, and best practices.
- Serve as a primary technical resource for resolving complex operational and process issues.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to support production and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 6+ years of injection molding or related manufacturing experience.
- Advanced understanding of molding processes, materials, and machine operation.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex, non-standard issues independently.
- Strong knowledge of process optimization and defect analysis.
- Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
- Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., RJG Master Molder, Scientific Molding certifications).
- Experience with automated molding systems, robotics, and advanced auxiliary equipment.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience in high-precision or high-volume production environments.
- Works independently with little to no direct supervision.
- Exercises significant judgment and decision-making authority in process and production matters.
- Regularly handles the most complex and varied tasks within the operation.
- Acts as a key contributor to team performance and operational excellence.
- Coordinates and supports the work of others across shifts and functions.

Pay
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $28.75/Hour - $48.13/Hour (subject to change dependent on physical location)
