Responsibilities
- Design and size grey utility systems, including HVAC support systems, air compressors, cooling towers, and other related systems.
- Support clients with process flow diagrams, load calculations, balancing, capacity analysis, and redundancy strategies.
- Manage and maintain grey utility systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Work with clients to develop innovative solutions for complex problems.
- Partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality solutions to clients.
- Develop process water systems, including membrane-based systems, purified water, and water-for-injection, and their associated storage and distribution systems.
- Ensure systems are designed in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Execute process system engineering from conceptual/planning to final/detail design phase on a wide range of projects.
- Interface with OEMs/vendors as needed to accomplish equipment sizing and selection.
- Provide support to commissioning teams on testing systems during and after start-up.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of pharmaceutical and biologics process system engineering/design experience.
- Expertise in wastewater, grey utilities, and/or process water systems.
- Working knowledge of process definition means and methods including identifying process unit operations required.
- Experience with regulatory standards and guidance.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral, interpersonal skills, and ability to interact with team members and clients.
- Computer skills including AutoCAD (basic), Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project (basic).
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Bio Engineering preferred, but other engineering degrees considered based on actual project experience.
- Willing and able to travel approximately 30% to 50% of the time for project requirements.
