Senior Process Engineer

About the role

Peraton is hiring a Senior Process Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; work is performed at a customer location. You will work across program and supported organizations to promote cross-program coordination and technical collaboration to reduce integration risk and standardize systems engineering processes.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate, train, and evaluate process engineering across all phases of acquisition, identifying best practices and change management techniques.
• Coordinate activities to assess program management planning, execution, and reporting processes for projects involving requirements, software, sustainment, and advanced technology initiatives.
• Coordinate among senior-level leaders in multiple organizations to obtain needed information.
• Operate in an agile development process, particularly in requirements management using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Demonstrate mastery of Jira/Confluence backend, including building and managing system workflows.
• Develop new processes as needed, ensuring they are reliable, repeatable, and sustainable.
• Document and improve existing processes, creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each project type.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or Education from an accredited school or university is required. Four years of additional process improvement experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
• Fifteen years of experience with process improvement on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Within the past ten years, five years of experience in facilitation, training, methodology development, process engineering, change management, business management techniques, organizational development, activity and data modeling, or information system development methods and practices.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Experience with Computer Network Operations (CNO).
• Technical writing experience.
• Experience with Generative AI.

Pay

Target salary range: $176,000 – $282,000. Salary is determined by various factors, including scope and responsibilities of the position, individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, geographic location, and business/contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
