About the role
The Prince William County Criminal Justice Services is an Evidence Based Practices Agency dedicated to public safety. We seek a Senior Probation/Pretrial Officer who can assist with challenging cases, conduct quality assurance reviews, and manage supervision plans.
Responsibilities
- Assist subordinate staff with challenging cases
- Conduct periodic case reviews involving risk assessments, supervision plans, and case management
- Retrieve and interpret information from Criminal Justice databases
- Compile information for performance measures
- Train and support new and existing staff
- Assist managers with scheduling
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. and at least 6 years of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in criminology, psychology, social services, counseling, or related field preferred
- Experience in supervision of clients, case management, conducting risk assessments, and making referrals
- Strong customer service skills, presentation abilities, and effective communication
- Experience with pretrial and probation risk assessments, collaboration with multiple agencies, and extracting information from criminal justice databases

Pay
$39.01 - $53.68 hourly
Schedule
Typical Monday through Friday between 8 am and 5 pm. Non-standard hours may occur on occasion.
