About the role
This position ensures that Private Wealth accounts are administered appropriately and works closely with clients, their professional advisors, and their account’s portfolio manager.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a high level of contact with major client relationships.
- Administers assigned accounts of medium to high complexity and works with portfolio managers to ensure appropriate asset allocations and frequency of review meetings.
- Collaborates with other bankers and professionals in legal and accounting fields to develop new trust and investment management clients.
- Ensures appropriate accountings are provided to necessary parties.
- If in a Team Lead role, handles supervisory duties including hiring, performance management, salary recommendations, training, and skill development of staff.
- Assists in budget preparation.
- Participates in civic, community, banking, trust, and legal organizations.
- Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including required compliance training.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyze documents such as procedure manuals, business correspondence, journals, government regulations, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to write business correspondence, routine reports, procedures, and responses to customer complaints or regulatory agencies.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative solutions.
Qualifications
- BS/BA Degree (4-year) from an accredited university/college, or
- Six or more years of experience in wealth management.
- Specialized training or courses related to investments, financial planning, estate administration, or other trust-related fields is helpful.
Skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
