Senior Principal Toxicologist
Job Overview
The Senior Principal Toxicologist is responsible for managing toxicology activities to support KDP's innovation and commercialization of safe food and beverages. This role collaborates with various departments to ensure compliance and supports the product development process.
Position Responsibilities
- Effectively execute department strategies to maintain world-class competency in toxicology, food safety, and compliance.
- Contribute to thought leadership on toxicology methods and lead risk assessments for finished products, ingredients, and packaging.
- Support business success through appropriate toxicological assessments of innovation, product applications, food safety, and productivity initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal and external legal counsel on science-based risk assessments.
- Affirm the highest standards in quality and regulatory compliance.
- Stay informed about industry concerns and regulatory changes.
- Utilize statistical analysis and data science tools in decision-making.
- Work cross-functionally and use independent judgment to make decisions and risk assessments.
- Represent KDP externally, reviewing and commenting on toxicology studies, designing studies, and submitting proposals.
- Maintain budget oversight.
Total Rewards
- Salary Range: $130,700 - $190,000

Requirements
- Education: PhD in toxicology, with a background in food or beverage preferred.
- Experience: Experience in Developmental and Reproductive Toxicology (DART) preferred. Recognized authority within the field with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Travel: Up to 15% (Domestic and International).
