Senior Principal Systems Integration and Test Engineer
Job Description
Ultra Mission Solutions delivers secure computing, advanced communications, and Field Engineering/Support solutions engineered for the most demanding environments. Our work is primarily focused on airborne, rugged, and contested operational settings — where mission success depends on precision, reliability, and innovative systems engineering.
Required Education And Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and/or equivalent years of experience
- Must have or be able to obtain a US Security Clearance
- Demonstrated experience conducting feasibility studies and translating findings into actionable system concepts
- Proficiency in developing Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) for complex aerospace or defense systems
- Strong background in authoring, managing, and baselining system and subsystem requirements and specifications
- Familiarity with systems documentation standards and configuration management practices
- Hands-on experience with system and subsystem integration activities at the component, subsystem, and system levels
- Able to develop and execute Integration Plans and test verification artifacts
- Knowledge of test planning methodologies and experience contributing to Test Plans, Procedures, and Reports
- Experience with Jira, DOORS, and Microsoft Office
Preferred Skills
- Background in communications systems and Tactical Data Links (TDL)
- Experience in Aircraft and Ground System Integration in a field Environment
- Experience with VPX Air Transport Rack (ATR) Chassis and Module Design, Development and Integration
- Familiar with ANSI/VITA, Sensor Open System Architecture (SOSA), Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) methods, approaches and standards
- Familiar with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) process and associated tools
