About the role

The Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems Business area provides actionable intelligence for our warfighters and decision makers through innovative technical solutions from the seas to the stars. The Space Systems Product Line is a premier provider of advanced high-reliability space electronics and mission systems. Our products have enabled a wide variety of civil, commercial, and national security space missions for over 25 years. We’re leading the way with the development of advanced processing solutions, RF and optical payloads, and cross-domain solutions that enable our customers to deliver mission capability that was previously not achievable.

As a Senior Principal Systems Engineer in the Space System Product line, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to create engineering solutions for a space payload. You will support the entire systems engineering lifecycle and key customer milestones, collaborating with other talented engineers to solve challenging problems and grow within this product area. This position is based out of our Hudson NH and Merrimack NH facilities and may require collaboration with staff across our business areas and facilities in the Northeast.

Responsibilities

  • Perform system engineering activities across the development cycle (analysis, decomposition, derivation, allocation of requirements, system modeling & simulation, system design & development, IV&V, Environmental Testing).
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
  • Support RF domain tasks and hardware integration.
  • Communicate effectively and solve complex problems.
  • Prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Active US Government Secret clearance (with ability to possess TS).
  • Bachelor's Degree of Science (or equivalent experience in a relevant field) with a minimum work experience of:
    • 8+ years with BS,
    • 6+ years with MS,
    • 4+ years with PhD.
  • Experience with test equipment and hardware integration.
  • Full-time on-site work due to the need for consistent, in-person collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working experience with SDRs and Radar applications.
  • Experience working on System Engineering tasks on a space platform.
  • Technical lead experience and IV&V (Integration, Verification & Validation) on space platforms.
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline with 11 years of experience.
  • Active US Government Top-Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Experience with system analysis techniques such as link budget, latency, calibration, timing, and synchronization.
  • Familiarity or experience with Agile Methodologies and Tools.
  • Model-based systems engineering experience with tools such as Magic Draw.
  • Experience with technical performance measures and cost account management.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $126,610 - $215,270. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
