Senior Principal Systems Engineer

About the role

Our employees develop, build, and work on the world’s most advanced electromagnetic spectrum operations systems—detecting, locating, and countering threats for joint and international aircrew. We develop sophisticated digital Electronic Warfare (EW) systems and are looking for motivated, positive-minded engineers to join cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams. Key EW program objectives include improving and enhancing air vehicle survivability through the abilities to detect, deny, deceive, degrade, and/or disrupt adversaries' Integrated Air Defenses.

This role will be performed full-time onsite at our Totowa, NJ facility due to the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and onsite work requirements.

Responsibilities

• Creation and/or review of systems, software, component, subsystem requirements, and operational concepts
• Deriving, decomposing, allocation, and traceability of requirements to engineering disciplines
• Identification of Risks and Opportunities and executing on mitigation strategies
• Identification of System Technical Performance Measures
• Participation in trade studies, analysis, peer reviews, and customer meetings
• Support system modeling & simulation, design, and development activities
• Creation of external and internal interface definitions
• Knowledge of model-based systems engineering tools and approaches
• Presentation of findings at design reviews internally or with customers
• Creation of test plans, test procedures, and reports
• Creation and/or review of algorithms
• Analysis of data to inform decision making
• Execution of integration, verification, and validation activities and tests
• Participation in external field and flight tests of our EW Systems
• Participate in the constant improvement of the Systems Engineering discipline

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science or related
• 2-20+ years of relevant Systems Engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science degree in electrical engineering or computer science/engineering
• Experience with Electronic Warfare systems and/or complex electromechanical products
• Experience with systems engineering activities across the product development lifecycle (analysis/decomposition/derivation/allocation of requirements, architecture, system modeling & simulation, system design & development, system integration & test, production, sustainment)

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $145,049 – $246,584. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
