Senior Principal Snowflake Data Engineer

About the role

Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid). Relocation assistance available for candidates in nearby states. 12-month contract with potential for extension. Video interviews. Healthcare domain experience is mandatory.

Requirements

• 10+ years of total experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and Enterprise Data Architecture
• 4+ years of direct, hands-on experience in Snowflake (Snowpark, Streams & Tasks, Zero-Copy Clone, Time Travel, Dynamic Tables, Data Sharing)
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python (or Scala/Java) for complex data processing
• Hands-on expertise with dbt (data build tool) for transformations and Apache Airflow for orchestration
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS S3/Glue/Lambda, Azure Data Factory/ADLS, or GCP)
• Proven track record in designing Enterprise Data Warehouses (Kimball/Inmon methodologies, Data Vault 2.0)
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for data platform deployment
• Visa: H1B, H4EAD, or US citizenship recommended

Preferred Skills

• SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced Architect / Data Engineer certification
• Experience with Kafka, Spark Streaming, or Snowflake Snowpipe Streaming
• Prior experience in the healthcare industry
