We are seeking an experienced Senior / Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join our Underground team in North America and provide high-quality geotechnical engineering services across a diverse range of mining and resources projects. This role will provide the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects across the full project lifecycle, from concept and feasibility studies through to detailed design, implementation and operational support. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients, providing technical leadership, sound engineering judgement and practical solutions to complex geotechnical challenges. The successful candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills and the ability to lead projects and mentor less experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver geotechnical engineering studies, assessments and designs.
• Provide technical advice across mining and engineering projects.
• Undertake geotechnical analysis, modelling and risk assessments.
• Prepare and review technical reports, designs and documentation.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams.
• Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Support project delivery, proposals and business development activities.
• Conduct site visits and field investigations as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Senior Engineer: typically 5–8+ years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience.
• Principal Engineer: typically 10+ years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience, with demonstrated technical leadership.
