Senior Principal Engineer

Responsibilities

• Defining, implementing and/or maintaining R&D strategy, guidelines, systems and services for VISHAY
• Alligning and ensuring implementation of R&D budgets, monitors R&D programs, and allocates resources
• Planning and coordinating, and/or implementing R&D projects and processes (i.e., technology research projects, product development programs)
• Leading identification and consolidation of R&D projects in line with technological trends and development plans
• Coodinating research, development, and pre-industrialization of products
• Representing VISHAY's R&D competence externally towards customers, partners, and other relevant stakeholders

Qualifications

• Applies professional function-specific know how, methods, tools and principles on a range of functional subjects
• Analyzes given scientific subjects, technologies or identified problems to create significant solutions or improvements
• Contributes to research projects or programs, and takes over accountability for project parts assigned
• Designs and setup test or trial series, leads assigned lab staff accordingly, and evaluate results
• Creates comprehensive research reports, provides recommendations for management or general business operations
• Consults with management or general business operations or other professionals, clients or experts
