Responsibilities

The candidate should be capable of working both independently and collaboratively with a cross functional team. He or she must be a change agent and have personal initiative. Possessing the drive to seek answers to complex problems, as well as to implement optimal solutions:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive Digital Engineering strategies to support DoD and/or Commercial customer initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure alignment and progress in digital engineering initiatives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Digital Engineering, guiding both internal and customer teams on best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Deploy common MBSE and DE COTS software, such as modeling tools (Cameo, Magic, SAM), middleware (ex. Syndeia, eCube, SBE Vision).
  • Configure assets in Azure Cloud and/or Amazon Web Services.
  • Architect, build, secure, and maintain production-grade Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability, cluster deployment, and smooth deployments.
  • Can speak effectively in front of a group to either coordinate and/or provide technical direction to customer admins.
  • Can demonstrate the ability to communicate with senior customers, keep all stakeholders informed, prioritize tasks, and vet priorities.
  • Has the ability to interpret and adjudicate user needs; translate user needs expressed as business requirements into technical requirements; implement user needs the tools or customization of the tools.

Qualifications

  • Required Skills: BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5 BS Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (IT/Engineering/etc)
  • Eligibility for Security clearance
  • Expertise with major versions of Linux and Windows Server
  • Experience configuring COTS software to fit customers’ requirements and processes
  • Knowledge of IT concepts and best practices, including for cybersecurity
  • Extensive experience with Kubernetes and best practices for implanting containerization
  • Experience designing production-grade clusters across multi-cloud or on-premises environments

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with Java and enterprise databases (Cassandra, DB2, etc)
  • Knowledge of Agile terminology, theories and best practices
  • Familiarity with DOD and Intelligence Community (IC) regulations, directives, policies and compliance for ATO
  • Experience developing and troubleshooting work-flows
  • Experience identifying, researching, and testing alternative solutions

Pay

Min: $101,782.95 Max: $244,582.90
