Senior Principal Consultant - Data & Analytics

Position Summary

Apps Associates is seeking a highly experienced Senior Principal Consultant – Data & Analytics to serve as a strategic advisor, enterprise architect, and delivery leader for complex data, analytics, and AI transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to client executives, business stakeholders, and technology leaders.
• Lead enterprise data and analytics strategy engagements, roadmap development, and modernization initiatives.
• Define end-to-end data architectures supporting reporting, analytics, AI, machine learning, and operational decision-making.
• Design scalable cloud-based data platforms, data warehouses, lakehouses, and analytics ecosystems.
• Evaluate and recommend technology solutions based on business requirements, organizational maturity, and long-term strategic objectives.
• Drive architecture decisions that balance scalability, performance, maintainability, and cost.
• Lead architecture and implementation of enterprise data and analytics platforms.
• Develop semantic models, dimensional data models, reporting frameworks, and data consumption patterns.
• Establish enterprise data governance, security, quality, and master data management approaches.
• Guide clients through legacy reporting and analytics modernization efforts.
• Support enterprise AI and advanced analytics initiatives through scalable data architecture design.
• Lead technical workstreams for large-scale data and analytics transformation programs.
• Provide oversight across architecture, design, development, sing, deployment, and production support activities.
• Establish implementation standards, best practices, and reusable delivery accelerators.
• Conduct architecture reviews and solution quality assessments.
• Mentor consultants, architects, data engineers, and analysts.
• Ensure successful project execution while managing scope, risks, dependencies, and client expectations.
• Collaborate with project managers and engagement leaders to deliver successful client outcomes.
• Support sales pursuits, solution workshops, discovery sessions, and executive presentations.
• Develop solution architectures, implementation roadmaps, effort estimates, and statements of work.
• Participate in proposal development, technical demonstrations, and client strategy discussions.
• Contribute to Apps Associates’ data, analytics, and AI offerings and accelerators.
• Help identify new service opportunities within existing client accounts.
• Represent Apps Associates as a thought leader through presentations, webinars, blogs, and industry events.

Experience Required

• 10+ years of experience delivering enterprise data warehouse, analytics, business intelligence, or data platform solutions.
• 5+ years serving as a Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, Principal Consultant, or equivalent leadership role.
• Proven experience leading enterprise data and analytics modernization initiatives.
• Demonstrated success in client-facing consulting environments.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and complex technology programs.
• Strong understanding of both business and technical aspects of analytics transformation initiatives.

Preferred Technical Expertise

• Strong experience across multiple modern data and analytics technologies, including several of the following:
• Cloud Data Platforms & Warehouses: Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW), Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud analytics services.
• Analytics & Business Intelligence: Power BI, Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Tableau, Looker, Qlik, Executive dashboards and KPI frameworks, self-service analytics enablement.
• Data Integration & Engineering: Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Informatica, Microsoft Fabric Data Factory, Azure Data Factory, modern ELT/ETL frameworks, API-based integrations, SQL, and advanced data engineering practices.
• Data Modeling & Dimensional Design: Semantic modeling, data modeling, dimensional design.
• Data Governance & Data Quality Frameworks: Data governance and data quality frameworks.
• Enterprise Applications & Business Systems: Experience integrating and reporting on data from enterprise applications such as: Oracle Fusion Applications, SAP, JD Edwards, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday, other ERP, CRM, HCM, and SCM platforms.

Functional Domain Expertise

• Experience supporting analytics initiatives across one or more of the following business domains:
• Finance & Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Human Capital Management, Customer Analytics / Customer 360, Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), Healthcare Analytics, Manufacturing Analytics, Utilities Analytics, Operational Performance Analytics.
