Senior Principal AI/ML Developer

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Principal AI/ML Developer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will shape the data science strategy behind scalable digital commerce experiences, with a strong emphasis on personalization, experimentation, and model deployment. You will partner closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to turn complex data into clear business direction and measurable outcomes. The position also includes mentoring junior data scientists and helping establish best practices that strengthen the organization's ML capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Champion a data-driven culture and promote best practices in key data science areas
• Design and build scalable end-to-end ML pipelines for personalization
• Develop robust experimentation frameworks to enhance model deployment speed
• Craft compelling narratives and logical recommendations based on data insights
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive large-scale strategic projects to completion
• Serve as a thought partner to senior leaders in prioritizing and scoping projects
• Mentor and guide junior data scientists in project planning and technical decisions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related technical field
• 10 years of experience leading technical project strategy and optimizing ML infrastructure
• 7 years of experience in software product design and architecture
• Over 10 years of hands-on experience in data mining and information retrieval
• Experience with A/B testing and experimental design
• Strong understanding of statistics, probability, and financial modeling
• Ability to translate data insights into business impact
