Senior Power Plant Operator (TC-K)

Position Overview/Duties

Serves as the senior hydro-station operator in direct charge on a shift, responsible for the operation of a hydroelectric power system with eight generating units, including remotely controlled units.

Responsibilities

• Operates and monitors the hydroelectric power system, including remotely controlled units.
• Ensures the safety and efficiency of the power generation process.
• Manages the maintenance and repair of equipment within the station.
• Collaborates with other operators and engineers to ensure optimal performance of the power system.
• Prepares reports and maintains records related to the operation and maintenance of the power system.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience operating hydroelectric power systems.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles relevant to power plant operations.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a recognized training program in power plant operations.
• Experience with remote control systems and automation.

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule
