Position Overview/Duties
Serves as the senior hydro-station operator in direct charge on a shift, responsible for the operation of a hydroelectric power system with eight generating units, including remotely controlled units.
Responsibilities
- Operates and monitors the hydroelectric power system, including remotely controlled units.
- Ensures the safety and efficiency of the power generation process.
- Manages the maintenance and repair of equipment within the station.
- Collaborates with other operators and engineers to ensure optimal performance of the power system.
- Prepares reports and maintains records related to the operation and maintenance of the power system.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience operating hydroelectric power systems.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles relevant to power plant operations.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a recognized training program in power plant operations.
- Experience with remote control systems and automation.

Pay
