The Washington Health Benefit Exchange (Exchange) is a public-private partnership that operates Washington Healthplanfinder, the eligibility and enrollment portal used by one in four Washington residents to obtain health and dental coverage. Responsibilities
- Semantic Modeling & Analysis Services (AAS)
- Develop tabular models and multidimensional models
- Develop and manage AAS process
- Write complex queries to retrieve large data in a database
- Analyze to find root cause and troubleshoot DW and reporting system issues
- Reporting & Insights Delivery
- Develop visual reports and dashboards with filters, variables, and drill-down capabilities
- Build visualizations and dynamic reports using Power BI to facilitate end users’ understanding of data
- Create and test operational, strategic, and federally mandated reports for internal and external stakeholders, leadership, CMS, and steering committees
- Build clear and well-structured analytical plans and analyze large datasets including HPF, Medicaid, and external data
- Convert data into insights leading to informed business decisions
- Data Integration, Automation & Reliability
- Integrate data from on-premises and cloud-based sources
- Automate outputs to refresh on a scheduled basis
- Design and maintain reliable data processing workflows
- Design scalable solutions to handle growing data volumes and user demands
- Optimize data architectures for performance and scalability
- Security, Governance & Data Quality
- Implement and maintain security measures, including role-based access control and data encryption
- Establish and enforce data governance policies and practices within the team
- Analyze and troubleshoot data issues and propose effective solutions and downstream impact
- User Enablement, Support & Documentation
- Support PBI and AAS users around connectivity, access, and control
- Provide training on PBI data sets and cubes
- Answer technical and procedural questions for team members and facilitate development and training of improved processes
- Create and maintain technical documentation for development and operational purposes
- Resolve PBI or AAS issues and collaborate with DW and Data Architecture teams
- Develop scripts for ETL store procedures
Qualifications
- Required:
- 5+ years with advanced Azure Analysis Service and PBI, advanced SQL
- 3+ years' experience working with Azure Data Warehouse
- 3+ years in mentoring
- Experience with Data Warehouse requirements and design
- Advanced knowledge and experience in data mining large database systems and technical documentation
- Well organized, flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient with strong attention to detail
- Desired:
