About the role

Raytheon is seeking electrical engineers with knowledge of analog electronics, power electronics, power systems, and/or control systems. The ideal candidate possesses a combination of design, product and production support experience, electronics knowledge, and hands-on laboratory skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with a team of engineers to develop proven designs based on system performance and operational specifications.
  • Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document analog and power design products.
  • Resolve production issues related to existing product designs.
  • Provide support to production, integration, and test activities.
  • Perform design, test, and production support work within the bounds of a given schedule.
  • Present reviews of technical data to program leadership and technical staff.
  • Engage in personal technical growth, and facilitate technical growth in peers.
  • Lead small teams to success with schedule, budget, and technical execution.

Requirements

  • You must have a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experience in modeling and simulation using PSPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar computer-based tools.
  • Experience with requirements development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead/manage small teams to achieve schedule, budget and technical commitments.
  • Experience generating technical documentation and reports.
  • Knowledge of test and production methods for electronical components.
  • Experience interfacing with procurement and manufacturing as well as external suppliers to ensure proper implementation of product designs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Hardware development experience in a Department of Defense environment.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Design, test, and/or production experience with analog or power electronics, power systems, power conversion, power distribution, power sub-system design and/or control systems.

Benefits

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
