About the role

BETA is seeking an experienced Senior Potable Water and Waste Water Project Engineer to join our team. The position will interact with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals in the New England area and will provide leadership and client development specifically in potable water and waste water engineering, construction management, civil infrastructure design, and permitting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform, manage, and oversee engineering design on a variety of potable water and waste water treatment, conveyance, and distribution projects
  • Lead technical design on concurrent projects
  • Perform detailed engineering design, review, and prepare plans, technical specifications, and Contract documents for construction
  • Provide responsive client service through strong and expeditious communication
  • Mentor junior staff to enhance their knowledge
  • Perform business development and manage project pursuits
  • Attend and present at client and public meetings
  • Collaborate across internal disciplines and office locations

Preferred Location

The ideal candidate will be located in BETA’s Lincoln office, with flexibility to work from other office locations. BETA also offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing employees to request working remotely up to 2 days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering
  • Professional Engineer license required
  • 8 to 15 years of related engineering experience in potable water, waste water, and stormwater projects
  • Demonstrated strong background in environmental engineering and modeling
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, modeling, and GIS software
  • Able to collect field data and measurements; and perform asset inspections for potable water and waste water infrastructure, in addition to roadway and other utility assets
  • Able to lift/move objects weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Able to stand or sit for long periods of time
  • Able to perform field work in both hot and cold weather (rain and/or snow)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
