Senior Ports Civil Engineer

Our Ports & Maritime team is seeking a Senior Ports Civil Engineer based in the Philadelphia or NY/NJ area to deliver complex maritime infrastructure development projects from planning through construction and will have exposure to our global portfolio of projects and design resources.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and coordination of the stormwater drainage infrastructure, utilities, grading, paving, and site layout of the upland facilities needed to support various types or maritime infrastructure from container terminals to cruise terminals to waterfront parks.
- Work closely with our multi-disciplinary team of engineers, planners, architects, and scientists to deliver complex projects across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region and beyond.
- Assist in or lead the technical input on proposals and participate in interviews and presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or related Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Substantial years of experience in the design of utilities, drainage, grading, or paving at port facilities or other site developments
- Experience in the design and design management of waterfront projects and facilities
- Proficient in the use of AutoDesk Civil3D for site development projects
- Ability to work with a team of local and remote multi-disciplinary engineers, design managers, and subject matter experts to deliver projects and proposals
- Experience contributing to the preparation of technical and cost proposals
- Good communication skills and ability to interface with clients and stakeholders, both internal and external
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering
- PE in NY/NJ/PA
- Experience in the planning or design of the civil and utilities infrastructure at container, cruise, liquid bulk, or dry bulk terminals
- Experience in the layout and design of container yards and associated gate facilities
- Experience in the design and/or construction of heavy-duty pavements
- Existing client relationships with port authorities and/or other organizations involved in the development of waterfront projects

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $150,000.00 to $225,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
