Primary Responsibilities And Duties
- Aid in managing Farmer Mac's agricultural production credit portfolio.
- Analyze and approve or recommend actions on credit requests for existing loans.
- Assess and recommend restructuring, collection actions, risk rating changes, and alternative resolutions for distressed credits.
- Review and analyze updated financials and collateral inspections on portfolio loans.
- Track and report on various credit portfolio items such as state, regional, commodity, delinquency, and substandard loan trends.
- Provide high-level customer service and responsiveness to institutions using Farmer Mac loan programs.
- Maintain Servicers' compliance with portfolio credit guidelines outlined in the Seller/Servicer Guide.
- Collaborate with the Appraisal & Collateral Valuation team to ensure evaluations meet Farmer Mac's collateral valuation standards.
- Evaluate loan portfolio data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Support other Credit Team needs as assigned.
Desired Skills And Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of agricultural real estate lending.
- Experience in credit analysis and underwriting of agricultural loans.
- Ability to review and analyze agricultural appraisals and evaluations.
- Proficiency in database management to generate reports for managerial decisions.
- Familiarity with mortgage lending best practices and procedures.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including client interaction.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Power BI, and Copilot.
- Experience with Farmer Mac's online loan origination and servicing platforms and applications.
- Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics, business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Five to ten years of experience in agricultural lending, with a strong focus on portfolio management of agricultural mortgages.
- Extensive knowledge of loan underwriting, appraisal, real estate title, and legal aspects of agricultural real estate loans.
Pay
The typical starting salary range for this position is between $FILL, although wages can vary based on experience and geographic location.
