Senior Policy Analyst | $70/hr Remote

Short-term contract (9 weeks), remote, flexible 40 hrs/week with a minimum 4-hour overlap with PST.

Responsibilities

• Create and evaluate high-difficulty political science and policy analysis tasks.
• Develop scenarios covering public policy, regulatory impact analysis, political systems, stakeholder analysis, and government affairs.
• Review AI-generated outputs for analytical accuracy, relevance, and practical application.
• Assess the economic, social, legal, and operational impacts of proposed or existing regulations.
• Conduct stakeholder analysis and evaluate competing interests.
• Translate complex evidence into clear, practical recommendations for decision-makers.
• Review and calibrate team outputs and provide expert feedback.
• Escalate complex cases and rubric-related issues when required.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in policy analysis, political science, public administration, government affairs, or a closely related field.
• MPP, MPA, PhD, or equivalent postgraduate qualification in public policy, political science, economics, public administration, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in regulatory-impact analysis, including economic, social, legal, and operational considerations.
• Proven ability to conduct stakeholder analysis, understand competing interests, and evaluate complex evidence.
• Ability to translate research and evidence into clear, practical recommendations.
• Strong analytical thinking, written communication, research, and attention-to-detail skills.

Pay

$52–$82 per hour.
