Title: Senior Toy Designer, Plush Location: Los Angeles, CA / Hybrid - 4 days onsite Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: $86,400 to $105,420 annually base DOEAbout the Opportunity TalentoHC is partnering with one of the world’s leading toy companies seeking a Senior Toy Designer to join its growing plush design team.This role will be responsible for leading the design and development of plush products for a high-profile licensed line featuring a leading global IP. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in soft goods design, licensed brand development, and global manufacturing, and a proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced consumer products environment.This opportunity offers the chance to work closely with brand, licensing, and design leadership while shaping products for one of the most recognized entertainment properties in the world.Key ResponsibilitiesLead plush product design from initial sketching and concept through prototyping, turnover, and final productionCollaborate with brand management, licensing, packaging, engineering, and global manufacturing teamsPresent concepts to brand, management, and licensor teams and secure licensor approvalsDeliver precise, complete turnover specifications and confirm they are understood by international teams and factoriesReview illustrative turns, sculpts, paint masters, and samples while ensuring designs meet cost, quality, schedule, and brand standardsQualifications5+ years of product design experience in the toy industry, including soft goods such as plush and textiles1+ years working directly with global manufacturing vendors, with a strong understanding of materials and processesExperience designing within strict licensed brand style guidesAdvanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, including detailed control drawings and rendered conceptsBachelor’s degree in Toy Design, Industrial Design, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experienceAbout TalentoHC Build Your Best Team Yet Executive Search | Talent Strategy | Human Capital Consulting TalentoHC is a global executive search and human capital consulting firm helping organizations build high-performing leadership teams that drive growth and transformation.
