About the role

Installs, repairs, and provides routine maintenance of natural gas, water, or wastewater lines and fixtures to maintain safe and effective service in City‑owned buildings. Provides instruction for lower‑level plumbers.

Responsibilities

• Install natural gas, water, and wastewater lines and fixtures.
• Perform repairs and routine maintenance on those systems.
• Ensure safe and effective service in City‑owned buildings.
• Provide instruction and guidance to lower‑level plumbers.

Requirements

• Current Texas Journeyman (or higher) Plumber’s license.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Availability for overtime, weekends, 24/7 emergency call‑outs, and holidays.
• Ability to pass a 10‑year TSA Federal background check.

Pay

Salary range: $24.39 – $27.71 per hour (starting salary; actual amount depends on qualifications).
